Hortus Femini is a Latin term that translates to „Women’s Garden“ in English. It symbolically refers to spaces, both physical and metaphorical, that are cultivated and nurtured by women. During the Middle Ages, a notable phenomenon emerged in which certain women gained recognition as mystics and spiritual leaders. These women, often referred to as „holy women“ or „mystics,“ followed a path that diverged from traditional societal roles and norms. These series portraits a personal interpretation of that phenomena.
